Hepatitis B and C can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Hepatitis B can cause fever, muscle aches, vomiting, diarrhea and liver damage. The main symptom of hepatitis C is the yellow color of the skin (jaundice). Hepatitis C is the most common cause of long-term liver disease and may require liver transplantation.
A blood test can detect Hepatitis b. There is a vaccine to prevent Hepatitis B, which requires 3 shots. There is no vaccine to prevent Hepatitis C.
